Abstract

Information system of admission new college student based web at Pascasarjana Universitas Jambi still found many weaknesses for instance. The aplplicants who did the process of registration and the won’t change the data because the can’t login into the system, the form of registration only can printed once, so if lost hte applicants can’t print out anymore and should inform to the staff. Administrator and program of study can’t monitored the listed of how many applicants who verified. Form this matter the researcher developing of system with waterfall method for admission new college student at Pascasarjana Universitas Jambi. It could beasier for the applicants to correcting of data and to print the form of registration, administrator and program of study can monitored the listed of how many applicants who verified. The development of this system can solve all the problem so far.

Abstrak

Sistem informasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru berbasis web pada Pascasarjana Universitas Jambi masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan, yaitu tidak adanya akses untuk login ke sistem oleh calon mahasiswa sehingga tidak dapat memperbaiki biodata, mencetak formulir berulang kali dan tidak adanya laporan untuk admin maupun prodi tentang berapa banyak calon mahasiswa yang terdaftar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memudahkan calon mahasiswa dalam memperbaiki datadiri dan memudahkan admin maupun prodi dalam melihat banyaknya calon mahasiswa yang terdaftar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu waterfall. Dari hasil pengujian modul-modul berjalan dengan baik dan masalah-masalah yang sering terjadi pada sistem yang lama sudah dapat teratasi.
